About the College
Government Degree College, Modinagar, Ghaziabad was established in the Modinagar regionunder the initiative of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh as part of the state’s visionto expand access to quality higher education. The college was formally established on 22May 2025 under Government Order No. 921/Session-5-2025-1842787 issued by the Higher Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The college offers undergraduate education in the Arts, Commerce and Science streams and is affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. It commenced its first academic session in 2025–26 as a co-educational institution. With the necessary facilities for higher education and a commitment to providing quality education at affordable fees, the government of Uttar Pradesh has appointed subject specialists across all three faculties through selection processed by UPPSC. The primary objective of the institution is the holistic development of students from theregion. A modern computer laboratory enables students to develop proficiency in digital technologies, while the college library provides valuable resources to support learning, knowledge enhancement and academic growth. The college also places importance on the physical, cultural and creative development of its students. Regular sports competitions encourage physical fitness, discipline and teamwork, while cultural programe\ provide platform for young talents to express themselves and develop their abilities. With a strong focus on student welfare and industry engagement, the college aims to establish meaningful collaborations with reputed industries and institutions through Memoranda of Understanding (MoU). These initiatives are intended to broaden opportunities for students and strengthen the connection between higher education and the wider professional world.
